CRAs now have the option to enable a setting for each ATS integrated through Integration Manager for an HR User to acknowledge their understanding of FCRA requirements prior to their viewing a given applicant's report. All email addresses that receive the result email will be prompted to acknowledge their understanding.

When the 1681b Compliance setting is enabled, the HR User must acknowledge the compliance text before the report or login page is displayed. The report or login page is displayed immediately after acknowledgment and all subsequent access attempts until link expiration. When the HR user provides their acknowledgment, a response is sent back to the platform indicating the user “certified” the background check.

We don’t log an entry to the report level activity log for Report Delivery timing “Email - Status Only” or “Email - Order Confirm and Result Link Only”

When the HR user provides their acknowledgment, a response is sent back to the platform indicating the user “certified” the background check. A record of the action taken is shown on the Activity Log for the report. Next to this activity log, it will show the Users name.

You can tell if it was the integration user that opened the link because it will show “Automated System” as the user.

This setting can be configured on the Integration Home screen by selecting the ATS icon you wish to enable the setting for, followed by clicking “Enable 1681b Compliance” The setting can be used with the tokenized link “report without login”, and with the result delivery process with the “report with login” option configurable in the IM Client Screen.

The setting is configurable by ATS and is defaulted to off. When the "Enable" icon is blue and reads "1681b Compliance is enabled", then the setting is enabled.
