CDLIS Setup
To research a subject's CDL history in addition to or separate from their personal driving history, a search can be conducted by the CDL Information System (CDLIS). One requirement for this is to have an account created with Samba. For account creation and Samba Setup steps, please view this article: https://deverus.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030915792-Samba-Safety-Motor-Vehicle-Reports
Once the account setup with Samba is complete, Commercial Drivers License searches can be made available by enabling the CDLIS option in your Driving History Reports researcher network as shown below:
Select the checkbox to enable CDLIS as a researcher for Driving History Reports and click Save.
Order a CDL
To order a Commercial Drivers License search, 'CDLIS' must be selected from the State dropdown menu when ordering a regular Driving History Report. When CDLIS is chosen, the system will search the CDL Information System through Samba:
*NOTE* This system searches by SSN rather than driver's license, so it may be necessary to require applicant SSN for the client that will be ordering the CDLIS search type. This can be done from the client or client type Ordering Options.
Ordering a regular Driving History Report will not automatically order a CDLIS. The 'CDLIS' state must be selected for a Commercial Driving History search to be placed. If a regular Driving History Report is also desired, there should be two searches on the report: one search will be for the state that issued the regular driver's license and the other should be for the state of 'CDLIS.'
*NOTE* If you are unable to add two MVR search types to a report, please contact Support to change a configuration setting.

CDLIS will only report the last issued CDL and as far back as previous 3, if applicable.
A CDLIS returning no results will look like this:
