There are a couple of examples in which the system will automatically generate emails to send out requesting action for E-Verify. Here are the following types of emails that will go out:
Photo Matching —
Works like Need More Information. Your client will receive an email that photo identification confirmation is needed and can view the photo provided by E-verify and submit whether the image matches or doesn't match via the client module. Admins can also view and answer via the search finder.
Employee Emailed Documents
If a letter needs to be delivered to the subject, it is automatically generated and stored with the E-Verify search and the client is notified via email of the letter. The client can then login to their system to retrieve the document from the search.
Here are some examples of letters that may go out:
E-Verify provides a Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC) because the information entered into E‑Verify from Form I-9 does not match government records.
The employer refers the case to the Social Security Administration (SSA) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after the employee contests (takes action to resolve) a TNC.
The employee has not contacted SSA or DHS within four days of the date that the employer referred the case to SSA or DHS.
E-Verify confirmed that the employee is eligible to work in the United States according to DHS records, but also found that SSA records need to be updated to reflect naturalization.
Email notifications do not replace the current TNC process. Employers are still required to notify employees of TNCs and their right to contest by giving them a Further Action Notice from E-Verify.
