What does User Account locked mean?

There are 2 sets of credentials for every E-Verify account.

  1. OUR Login credentials for integration, for web-services access.

  2. CLIENT'S Login Credentials for website access.

deverus is responsible for the web-services password.

At times there may be password confusion that may cause the client to be locked from their account after 3 attempts. When this happens the deverus account will lock and will also need to be updated once the clients login has been resolved. One or both logins do not work.

Make sure you have access to your account and let us know when you have a new password. You can use forgot password link here: https://e-verify.uscis.gov/web/Login.aspx

We will then have E-Verify present us with the new password for our login for our end to resolve.

Are the E-Verifies suppose to be instant or take 5-10 minutes to complete?

It all depends on the applicant. For a "clear", or immediate authorization, it can take up to 10 minutes to complete. For an applicant to go through the full process, depending on how quickly they get their forms completed, it can take up to a couple weeks. There's no way to determine ahead of time how many levels of review an applicant will require, though the majority will pass at the first or second level of verification.

The tutorial built into your E-Verify account will give you more details on the various levels of verification an applicant can go through, and approximately how long each level takes.
