HR Module Single Sign-On (SSO)
Helping clients with a locked login
There are three ways HR users can log into their client module.
Standard login page
The standard login page is linked to your Verocity URL. For example, if your Verocity URL is https://access.screening.services, then that is your client login URL as well.
Below is an example of the standard login screen:
Branded login page
If you have one or more clients with a branded client module (see Client Branding), then the system will supply you with a custom login URL for that client. This custom URL will use the logo, color scheme, and contact info from the branded profile to customize the login page.
To access the branded login URL, just bring up the client editor as described below:
Navigate to Clients > View Client.
Bring up the desired client in the editor.
Scroll down to the Client Branding section. If this is a branded client, you'll see the custom login URL as demonstrated below.
βHighlight the entire field and copy it; you can then paste it into your browser address bar to test. It will present the same login screen as in the previous section, but with the branded color scheme, logo, and contact info.
Creating your own login page
If you'd rather create your own login page on your website, you can use the following HTML as a template. Just insert this into your page, change the bold items to your own values, and customize as you desire.
Note: The ## value for MVPID is assigned to you by deverus. If you don't know this number, just contact us by submitting a support ticket.
<FORM action="https://access.mybackgrounds.com/mvp/loginverify.cfm" method="post">
<INPUT type="hidden" name="MVPID" value="##">
<p>Username:<br /><INPUT name="userid"></p>
<p>Password:<br /><INPUT name="password" type="password"></p>
<p><INPUT name="login" value="Log In" type="submit"></p>
</FORM>
<p><a href="https://access.mybackgrounds.com/mvp/forgot_password.cfm?referrer=client">Forgot password?</a></p>
HR Module Single Sign-On (SSO)
The ability for an HR user to use Single Sign-On has been made available to all HR customers.
What is Single Sign-On?
Single Sign-On is an authentication tool that allows a user to navigate and gain access to secure applications and websites with only one set of credentials.
β
deverus has invested in SSO technologies to allow HR customers gain entry into the HR portal without having to sign in.

How do I get started?
Please create a support ticket with our team to get started. deverus will provide you with a unique URL endpoint and SP URN to pass onto your HR customer's IT team. After that, deverus will require their metadata file or metadata URL endpoint. From there, we can make the connection and have the HR client start testing.
How much does it cost?
This service comes in the form of a monthly subscription cost of $150 per client, per month. A client can have an unlimited amount of users. deverus would add the total combined subscription charged on our invoice to you. At this time, we do not have the ability to allow a CRA to set up a recurring monthly charge to clients automatically. It is at the discretion of the CRA to manage how to charge any SSO enabled customers.
Locked Login or Maximum Number or Login Attempts
If your client is unable to log in and you've reset the password, they might have been locked out by IP address. Usually they will receive an error message that they have reached the maximum number of login attempts.
You can reset this from the Admin module. Click on
Tools>Locked Login > and uncheck the box for their IP address.
If they do not know their IP address, they can type in http://www.whatsmyip.org to verify.
