What we'll review:
Creating Researchers
Researcher Settings
Researcher Types
Each search you offer in the system has a corresponding researcher network, consisting of a primary (active) researcher, plus any number of backup researchers you desire. Researchers are assigned at the state/county level for state/county searches; otherwise, one primary researcher is set for the search type.
Creating researchers
Before you can assign researchers to a search, you must create them and make them active. This is done under the Researchers tab.
Using the View Researchers area, you can view all active researchers. If the researcher you want does not appear, you can add the researcher using the Add Researcher link.
There are four different types of researchers supported by our system:
Internal researchers. This means that any of your administrators can also perform research within the administration module - including entering results, entering delays, and completing criminal searches. You may want to create a researcher and make it a duplicate of an administrator; that way, you can formally assign work to that person's researcher account. However, that person will not need to log in as the researcher. Instead, he/she can log into their admin account and use the Report Finder or a Pending Report to look up work assigned to their own Researcher account.
Non-integrated researchers. This type of researcher is not within your network, and is not using an integrated system. You will add this researcher as described above, giving him/her Email or Fax notifications. Then that researcher can log in to your Researcher Module using the username/password you set up. From there, the researcher can securely retrieve requests and submit results.
Integrated researchers. deverus provides a large network of researchers that are integrated directly to our system. See the Vero-to-Vero Connections and Third-Party Providers Guide for lists of these vendors. There are other specifics on integrated vendors listed in the Integrations category of this help system.
Instant researchers. deverus provides several pre-integrated instant researchers, including Instant Criminal Providers, SuperSearch, Softech, and Past Address History / SSN Trace. See the corresponding help pages for more info on these providers.
Researcher Settings
A. Whether you want email request to be delivered, status only emails or online only.
Status only does not receive new request notifications. Researchers will only receive:
Delay messages, cancels, requests for more information, re-submits, notes, status requests should be emailed about one hour after the search has been assigned.
B. This field is reserved for Vero to Vero researchers. You must put in a help desk request for these researchers.
C. This is for integrated vendors. You must put in a help desk request for these researchers.
D. If a researcher cannot receive HTML please click this option.
E. You must make the researcher active, for use.
F. Any admin can receive these communications if selected.
Researcher Types
Manual Researchers
Just like an HR module for clients, the deverus platform also includes a researcher module. This module allows manual researchers to log in and process searches assigned to them. These types of Researcher accounts will receive an hourly email that contains a list of any newly assigned searches. The Researcher will then be able to log into the Researcher Module to complete their assigned searches.
Vero to Vero
A solution in which the Researcher has an instance on Verocity platform (owned by deverus) and can be assigned orders between instances without leaving the platform.
In this solution, the CRA pays only their negotiated transaction rate per order.
Please see Vero to Vero Connections for more information.
βHubX Integration
An integration, supported by the Hubworks product (somewhat similar to ATS integrations), in which the Researcher request leaves the Verocity platform by way of the HubX integration and the results are routed back to the platform via the HubX integration. This requires that the researcher write to our open API. In this solution, the CRA only pays the set rate they negotiate with the Researcher. We also charge a small transaction fee to the Researcher, to allow them to integration to our platform. Depending on the nature of the integration and the work involved for deverus, we may also charge a one-time setup fee to the Researcher.
Please see HUBX Researchers for more information.
