Employment Verification Minimum

deverus is proud to release an improvement to the employment verification process for Swifthire Mobile. The Employment Verification Minimum feature allows the CRA to mandate a minimum for the number of employment verifications an applicant provides in a Swifthire.

The feature is enabled using a new setting under the client or client type ordering options called "Enforce a required number of verifications in Swifthire".

After completing the first employment verification, if the applicant does not have the employment history to satisfy the additional number of employments mandated in the package, they can indicate this during the Swifthire process. A new search called "Verification Minimum Requirement" will be completed for each employer the applicant declined to provide.

Finally, we're excited to announce that the new setting can be used in conjunction with "Enforce package limit on the confirm screen" to require an exact number of employments from the applicant.

For complete information please see Employment Verification Minimum.

Update Cost in Researcher Network

Currently certain search types do not allow the CRA to update the cost in the Researcher Network. Search cost is the amount charged to the CRA by the researcher. With this week's update the CRA can now update the cost for E-Verify and I9 search types.

In the Researcher Network you will see a new user interface for these search types with a link to "Edit Settings". This opens a panel where the CRA can enter search cost. For more information on managing the Researcher Network, please see Module 2: How to add Searches and Researchers.

Fixes

  • We made an improvement to the Themis integration so that driving records which were returning "NONE TO REPORT" will now display the actual result coming back from Themis, for example "The driving record is not available electronically".

  • EMPV and EDUV searches verified using the "Verified with Consumer Documents" option will no longer be flagged. This update is being made to reduce the number of disputes generated by applicants when they see a flag on a "Verified" result.

  • We fixed a bug that was preventing the state from auto-populating on SwiftID searches.

  • To improve email performance, deverus made a change to how some emails are sent on Thursday, Feb 18th. Prior to this change, email results were sent on behalf of the CRA by the deverus domain of screening.services though the "from" email was listed as the CRA domain from the system profile. This caused some email security protocols to reject the email ('from domain' did not match the actual sender). The new process mimics the way deverus sends emails for SwiftHire on behalf of an HR user to increase the percentage of successful deliveries.
Please note, release notes were not published 02/18/2021 due to Winter Storm Uri so the information is included here for historical purposes. For complete information on this change, please visit our KB article here: https://deverus.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055293572
