FACIS (Fraud and Abuse Control Information System)
Verisys’ flagship product is the most comprehensive tool available to identify excluded, sanctioned, debarred and disciplined (“sanctions”) individuals and entities.
FACIS is the only source of provider sanctions content derived from thousands of sources in an easy to use and read format.
FACIS aggregates data from disciplinary boards (more than OIG and GSA) from all 50 states and the District of Columbia across all provider types (not just MDs and DOs).
FACIS is the largest and broadest coverage sanctions database in existence, with more historical data than any single data company, as we have been collecting data since 1992 with data dating back to the 1980s.
FACIS is updated in near real-time, not merely once a month (or as some do only once a year) with more than 20,000 new records added over the course of an average month.
FACIS data undergoes a rigid quality assurance process to ensure that our customers receive the complete unaltered primary source record.
Verisys works to meet all regulatory requirements and not just the 2013 OIG recommendation. Verisys covers all federal and state level regulatory requirements for screening and monitoring of exclusions, debarments and disciplinary actions.
The Verisys' database is updated every day, and on a source level, Verisys updates the database, mirroring the publication frequency of the primary source. Verisys actively collects data to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
