Cleara can be used with the deverus "Instant Criminal" and "SuperSearch" products. Like Data Divers and Innovative, we are allowing CRAs to configure the Instant data settings when using Cleara as an instant source researcher.
Available Search Types:
INCR, SXOF and SuperSearch. Cleara does not have the ability to run individual states

Filters
Cleara defines their filters based off of threshold percentages. Zero (0) would be the same as not filtering anything and One (1) would be looking for an exact match only.
FirstNameThreshold - recommended default setting is .9
LastNameThreshold - recommended default setting is .9
For a flexible first-name filter but have an exact last-name search, the settings would be:
FirstNameThreshold .85
LastNameThreshold 1
*Note* For names, Cleara does not recommend any settings less than .85 as this may yield more false positives.
IncludeNickNames - This is a Yes/No setting to use the nickname file or not.
While deverus recommends a .9 threshold, Rick only measures .81 against Richard which is below the .9 threshold. Adjusting the threshold down to catch that, will lead to many false positives. To solve for this, Cleara has their own list of nicknames which we can be used. Clients also have the ability to import their own client-specific nickname file (used only for your searches).
An example of this would be nickname file were Richard will have associated nicknames of Rick, Rich, Richie, and Dick.
IncludeFuzzyNames - This is 0/1 whether derived names from the skiptrace will be included in the scope of the search.
MiddleNameThreshold - recommended default setting is .9
IncludeMiddleNameFilter - can be set to be considered or not to be considered at all (when available) This is 0/1. If 0 is sent, then the middle name is completely ignored in matching. If 1 is sent, the middle name value will be intelligently utilized in limiting results. For example, if the client provides just a single initial as “E,” we will return “Eric” or “Edward” or “E” or where the value on the record is null, but we will not return if a record has a middle name of “Bob” or “George” etc. If the client provides a full middle name, say “Eric,” we will return “Eric” and “E” and null.
MatchPartialDateofBirth is 0/1 that alerts our system to additional partial matching if set to 1. Additional DOB settings are expected to follow. If set to 0, we match exact DOB only.
MatchDateofBirthYearMonth is 0/1 and if set to 1 will allow Cleara to match against those data records that only have the Month and Year available (for example, the VA AOC data). Passing a value of 1/1/2000 will match on records that only have 1/2000, but will not cause false matches on records that have, for example, 1/5/2000.
Containing only the year and month - month and year will only pull items that have a month and year
MatchDateOfBirthMonthDay – allow a match using only Month and Day against data sources containing only the month and day
MatchDateOfBirthYearOnly – allow a match using only Year against data sources containing only the year (this is generally considered a fairly weak match which often requires use of an additional identifier such as address)
MatchMissingDateOfBirth – allow a match against data sources where the date-of-birth is not provided (this is generally considered a fairly weak match which often requires use of an additional identifier such as address)
MatchSexOffenderYearByAge is 0/1 and if set to 1 will calculate the applicant’s age, and will match +-1 to records that only have an Age. This obviously prevents a false return on a 18 year old applicant if the offender is 30, for example. As noted, this only applies to SOR data.
