Configuring an Equifax TWN Account

Assigning the Work Number Researcher

Applying Fees

Choosing the Default Researcher

Contact Equifax for Account Configuration

To configure The Work Number integration, your Equifax TWN account needs to be set up for a VOE integration configuration. This is a free configuration associated with your existing Equifax account and should not affect your other credentials.

Be sure to let Equifax know you would like the flag on the account to be set to receive PDF delivery of results. This will enable you to see the TWN results from Equifax in the deverus system.

The Work Number Account Integration Contacts:

Equifax Web Services The Work Number support - 877-664-8778 Option 1

Equifax will provide you a new set of credentials for this integration. You will receive 2 emails from The Work Number (VAM [email protected]) - one with a Username and one with a Password. Enter the credentials into the Researcher Network following the instructions below. If you do not have an account with The Work Number, you can sign up for one by clicking here: Register for a Work Number account, or use the same contacts above.

Researcher Setup

  1. Ensure that Work Number is displayed in your Researcher Network and available to add to the researchers for your EMPV search type. If your system is different, please submit a support ticket and we will make any necessary updates. Navigate to Researcher > Researcher Network > Past Employment Verification (or another named search). 'Work Number' should be displayed at the top of the page under Integrated Researchers.

  2. Next to Work Number, click 'Edit Credentials' to enter your Username and Password and 'Edit Settings' to enter fees.

Apply Fees

Fees are determined by The Work Number, so any fee details will be provided by them. Under 'Edit Settings' as mentioned and shown above, you can save the Researcher Fee which will be passed to your client.

If you find that your fee is not consistent and varies per Work Number Search, you'll instead want to enter an average of your fees, to make this more accurate.

deverus will charge a $0.25 per Work Number search maintenance fee including one match. For two matches or more there will be a $0.50 fee per applicant, with a max at $0.50 per applicant.

Please see https://deverus.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024825931-Work-Number-User-Guide to learn more about the integration workflow.

Default Researcher

In order to choose which searches are dispatched to Work Number, please be sure to assign a default researcher or queue to send Employment searches. However, if you wish to use the Work Number by default for any/all Employment searches, please review our article on the Top of Waterfall process.
