deverus has worked in partnership with Equifax to make a new option available for those using the Work Number process.
The Top of Waterfall option will push all Employment Verifications through the Work Number process to first see if Equifax has any hits before making the searches available for manual processing.
How to enable the Waterfall option
Follow these steps to enable this feature.

All EMPVs will be assigned to the Work Number process. *Please read below for conditions.
Processing Employment Verifications through Waterfall
The Top of Waterfall process allows all internally assigned EMPV researchers to maintain their standard fulfillment workflow. By doing so, each assigned researcher does not need to work directly out of the Work Number queue.
When all EMPVs in a report are ordered, they will automatically be run through the Work Number process while maintaining their default researcher assignment.
If a search has gone through the Work Number process with a returned result of 'No matching record' or if a search has been processed and nothing was returned by the Work Number, the search will stay submitted to the same researcher and the 'Enter Results' option will bring the researcher to the native EMPV results screen:
The researcher will have to follow their manual process to verify the employment status, as shown below.
WN Submission Icon
An indicator has been added to show what searches are actively being processed on the matching screen.
If clicked, this icon will refresh the page so the 'Match WN results' link changes to the 'Enter Results' link if they are not processed in the WN matching screen.
Processing 'On-Hold' searches
ALL Employment Verifications on the report have to be taken off hold for the waterfall to kick in. If only one of many EMPVs in a report is removed from Hold status, it will not automatically be submitted to Work Number.
*Client Opt-Out Setting
The option is available at the Client Type and Client Ordering Option level to disable a client or client type from being included in this process. Employment Verifications that are ordered under these clients will follow normal researcher assignment logic. The option to submit any of these Employment Verifications will still be available through the pre-existing 'Submit to Work Number' process.
Like all Ordering Options, if an individual client has their own ordering options, it will override the Ordering Options set at the Client Type level.
Work Number Report PDF Visibility
The pre-existing Work Number integration attaches a PDF of the report directly from Equifax. This report is by default not made available to the HR client. A new option is available to make all Equifax provided PDF reports be made visible to the HR client. This is a global setting per system. Please enter a ticket with deverus Client Success to have this turned on.
When this setting is enabled, it will make PDFs visible to the HR clients at the time when the report is created. If a report is created while this setting is disabled, the WN PDF will not be visible to the client. This is not a retro-active setting.
