Limiting Address History Trace Results to Three Recent Locations

The "Targeted History Search" is a client level setting that can be turned on by navigating to the additional settings:

When selected, the "Past Address History Search" will pull the last 3 addresses associated with the social security number run.

The system will match on a combination of first or last name and social. Once the addresses are pulled, the system can automatically auto-populated searches based on the addresses.

You must have "ability to populate searches" turned on in the ordering options, along with the search types you want to be enabled chosen.

Counties vs. Zips

The address history will populate the exact counties listed in the history. This is an important difference as typically the trace will populate off the zip code associated with the county. This can cause multiple counties to populate off of one zip, if they overlap. This has been removed from the "Targeted History Search" to only search the 1 exact county in the address.

Order of Addresses

Locations will appear in the order they are received from the address history provider. The main name will be listed first. Address #1, #2 and #3 will populate in that order. Addresses with no dates are listed by the provider last.

The search is also looking for 3 unique counties to populate. If an address already covers a specific county, the search will move to finding the next address that is tied to a unique county. This means the system may populate a county outside of the set year range if 3 unique counties are not found within that year range.

One thing to note is that the system also populates off of the applicant profile address. In the event that the applicant's current address is not listed on the trace, you could potentially populate off this additional address causing more than 3 counties to populate.

Middle Names

AKA's do not take into account middle names. If you have the same name, with a middle name initial or name variance, these would not populate separately.
