Changing the client assigned to a report

Moving report to different client or changing the user on a report.

  1. Bring up the report-level view for the report in question. You can do this a couple of different ways:

    • Use the Report Finder to enter search fields that will find one or more searches in the report, and choose Report as the View Level using the radio button option at the bottom.

    • Bring up any search from the report (using the dashboard, the Report Finder, etc.), and click the go to report level link in the upper right of the search summary.

  2. Once you are looking at the report-level view for your report, click the change client link in the upper right.

  3. On the page that comes up, choose the new client from the dropdown list. If you have a lot of clients, you can click the dropdown list and then type the first few letters to auto-scroll to that section of the list, then either click the client or press <Tab> when the client is highlighted.

    *NOTE* If you have already invoiced for the report in question, then the system will display a message above the pulldown warning you that you'll need to re-invoice both clients after you submit, since the invoice should come off of the original invoice and be added to another one.

  4. Once you choose the client, you can choose the specific user from that client who should be assigned the search, in a second pulldown which will appear after you choose the client. The default user will be chosen by default, but if there are more users, you can choose a different one if you wish. This determines which user will see the report in his/her client module and receive notifications about the report.

  5. Click change client to confirm your change.

*If you only need to change the user assigned to the report and not the client, you can use these steps to select the same client, and then select the new user from the dropdown.
