Accessing QA Queues
If you have the QA permission enabled in your administrator settings, you will have two different ways to access searches that have been placed in QA. The first way is to navigate to QA > Result Review (or to use the Search Statistics box in the Dashboard), which shows all searches in QA and allows you to filter by secondary status (New, In Progress, Awaiting Results, Hold, Follow Up, Final Review). The second way is to bring up a search in the Report Finder or one of the Pending reports, and then to click the Quality Review status link in the upper left to go directly to the QA view of that search.
When viewing the snapshot version of a search (using the results of the Report Finder, or when clicking the ID of a search from the Pending by Days or Pending by Zones report), any search in QA status will have Quality Review as part of the status link in the upper left, as shown below.
Using QA Tab and Results Review Page
When you navigate to QA > Results Review (or click the number of searches in QA from the Search Statistics box in the Dashboard), you will be taken to the new QA view. To access the old view just click on "See Old Page" on the top right-hand side of the screen. Searches are Unassigned when they come into the queue and listed as "new" in the QA aggregator shown on the left.
Queue Filters
You now have a variety of filters to sort the QA queue by clicking any of the column headers: (ID, Type, Subject Name, SSN, DOB, Client, Created On, Completed On, Assignee, Researcher, Location, Status, Email, Created By). Assignee, Search Type, Client, and Researcher are now type-ahead fields. You may enter the first 3 letters in your criteria, and then create a filter. You can combine filters to refine the queue results. Of note the Completed On date refers to the Researcher completion date.
These filters are meant to persist against browser sessions. When picking a filter, you will see this reflected at the top of the queue in grey. You may click the 'x' to remove the filters or close the browser to restart and refresh.
Initially, searches are sorted by date with the oldest at the top. You can change your sorting range by using the "Sort Results by" option, or by clicking the column heading to sort data:
You can also set the number of searches displayed per page using the drop-down menu on the lower left:
Date Filters
You can filter by a custom date (for either the Created On or Completed On field) by clicking the calendar icon and selecting the date:
QA Primary and Secondary Statuses
When a search is routed to QA, the primary search status will still be labeled "Quality Assurance."
There are now secondary statuses, with which you can assign work based on your specific workflow. The following secondary statuses are currently available:
New
In Progress
Awaiting Results
Hold
Follow-Up
Final Review
In order to move a search in QA into a secondary status, click on the subject's name to take you to the processing screen. You will now have a "QA Status" section in the top right, where you can choose the secondary status:
QA Assignee
You now have the option to assign searches to QA administrators, as long as the "Send searches to QA" permission is turned on in their administrator profile. Of note, a log of QA administrator assignments will be captured at the search level on all searches.
1. Check the box next to the search you want to assign.
2. Select the Assignee from the drop-down at the bottom of the screen.
Clicking on the subject's name launches a Quality Review Process screen for the search, where you can view search details and assignee. Secondary statuses and assignees can be used together to create custom workflows for your processors, and using the filters congruently will allow for more flexibility.
All searches completed through the QA process will have an automated admin note added by the system stating the name of the logged-in user who completed the QA process.
