Managing Bundles

Client-Created Bundles

There are two options available for grouping searches together to offer clients:

Packages: A group of searches packaged together with a fixed base price. Packages have limits where a la carte pricing kicks in after limits are exceeded. Limits can also be enforced.

Bundles: A group of searches bundled together without a fixed base price. The price of each order will accumulate based on the client's a la carte pricing.

Creating Packages and Bundles

Packages and Bundles can be created on three levels:

  1. Global: Navigate to Sales > Package Manager > click a package name to edit it. You can also click Create a New Applicant Package / Create a New Applicant Bundle at the top. Packages and bundles created this way are available for all clients to order.

  2. Client Type: Navigate to Sales > Client Types > Choose the Client Type you wish to edit > Package Options

  3. Client: Navigate to Clients > View Clients > Locate the client account in question > Personalized Packages

*NOTE* If a package of the same name is created at both the Client Type and Client level, the client will see that package name twice during the ordering process. Deactivating the package at either level, according to your needs, will resolve this issue.

To create a package, navigate to the desired level (Global, Client Type, or Client) and choose Add Applicant Package. You must choose a Package Name, Price, Date Active and Date Inactive, check Enabled, and choose how many of each search type to include in the package. The checkbox is used for Two Stage Ordering (For more information on this topic, please visit our article HERE).

To create a bundle, navigate to the desired level (Global, Client Type, or Client) and choose Add Applicant Bundle. You must choose a Bundle Name, check Enabled, and select the search types available in the bundle.

Package Options

Packages have specific controls which can override Client-level options:

Years to Pull: Sets the default years for these search types when ordered via the package.

Uncheck Additional Names: Will not allow AKAs to automatically populate in the package, but still allows AKAs to be manually added by client.

Admin Only: Package is only available from the admin ordering screen (not available to clients in HR module).

Include Alias Names (for Search Type): If checked No, the order will not populate AKAs automatically and will not allow the HR client to manually add to search.

Enforcing Limits

Navigate to either the Client or Client Type > Ordering Options > check the box to "enforce package limit on confirm screen" option. This will limit ordering in SwiftHire Mobile and HR ordering.

Check the box to "Enforce Package Limit"

Offering Unlimited Searches

When creating a package, you can choose to offer an unlimited number of certain search types. For example, you can offer a package with unlimited County Criminal searches or unlimited Employment Verifications. The system will still charge court fees (if applicable according to account settings), but the client can add as many of the unlimited search type without incurring the additional a la carte charges. To enable this feature, choose Unlimited from the drop-down in package creation, as shown below:

Certain searches, such as Social Trace / Past Address History searches and Drug Screens, are not appropriate for ordering multiples, so the Unlimited option will not show. For these searches, the max you can add to a package is 1.

Once you update the package, you'll see that no number is displayed next to the search type in question. In the example below, the package has unlimited County Criminal Searches, so no number is displayed next to that search type in the summary of the package. (This display is used when viewing the package administratively as well as when the client is selecting packages during the ordering process.)

Client-Created Bundles

Clients also have the ability to create their own bundles by saving the search configurations they are ordering. For example if they pick 2 searches that are not part of a package, they can choose "save order configuration for use in future orders, they will have these bundles appear under "My Saved Bundles".
